What the Carbone preset sets up
One click creates these resources in your project and connects them. You can review the sizes in the form before you deploy.

Deploy Carbone in three steps
- Sign in Log in or sign up. New accounts can earn up to 15 € in credit.
- Open the preset Pick a project and a region. The form shows the sizes and the monthly cost. Deploy to Nodion ›
- Deploy Nodion creates the app and its resources, then starts the first deploy.
Sign in to Studio as admin with the password after the colon in CARBONE_STUDIO_USER. Call the API with Authorization Bearer and the generated API_TOKEN. If Studio asks for an API token, paste API_TOKEN. Health checks and download of a finished render stay reachable without a token. To rotate credentials, replace both the public key and API_TOKEN together. Community features work without a license. Add a Carbone license in the application environment after deploy if you want Enterprise features.
Run it like any other app
- Domains A default hostname with HTTPS works right away. Add your own domain on the Domains tab.
- Environment The preset sets the variables Carbone needs. Change them on the Environment tab.
- Version The preset sets tag full-5.15.4. Your app keeps it until you change the image on the Processes tab.
- Logs and metrics Every process has logs and metrics in the dashboard. See Applications.
Carbone on Nodion: questions and answers
How do I deploy Carbone on Nodion?
Sign in to Nodion, open the Carbone preset and pick a project and a region. Nodion creates the app with a 10 GB volume, sets the environment variables and starts the first deploy.
Is this the same as self-hosting Carbone?
You get your own Carbone instance in your Nodion project. The difference: Nodion runs the servers, so there is no machine of your own to install and maintain.
How much does it cost to run Carbone on Nodion?
The starting setup costs about 5.50 EUR per month: App DS-G2-1GB, 1 GB RAM 4 EUR, Volume 10 GB 1.50 EUR. Prices are net and billed per second. You can pick bigger sizes in the form.

Which version of Carbone does Nodion deploy?
The preset sets the image carbone/carbone-ee:full-5.15.4. Your app keeps that image tag until you change it on the app's Processes tab.
Can I use my own domain for Carbone?
Yes. Every app gets a default hostname with HTTPS. Add your own domain on the app's Domains tab.
Where does Carbone run?
In the region you pick: EU Central (Germany), US East and US West (United States) or APAC Central (Singapore). Build, registry and runtime stay in that region.
